PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Whatever your production, I can help you manage it efficiently and cost-effectively - and crucially now more then ever - with safety and Covid compliance at the fore. With specialist expertise in large scale live outside broadcast, I have a broad contacts book of the most exciting and experienced broadcast professionals that I can bring to your film or broadcast. I will consider the pennies and employ the pounds in a strategic and creative manner so that the money, talent and the story you want to tell is all over the screen. Trained in Safe Management of Productions to a high standard, I will ensure all production retains the highest production values and is a safe and happy working environment for all. I built the best diverse production teams, sourcing specialists as required whilst training and mentoring new talent into the industry.

TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION AND FACILITATING CREATIVE TEAMS

I’ve worked with Ravensbourne University, Birmingham University and the Birmingham School of Media at BCU to train and support undergraduates and young people into the creative industries. For the RSC, I am the Producer of the Schools’ Broadcasts, which involves managing a partnership between the RSC and Ravensbourne to mentor and train undergraduate production teams in the skills involved in creating film and delivering live broadcasts. Every year, we deliver a number of three-hour live streams of each RSC production directly into all signed-up UK schools, supporting the show broadcast with around 45 minutes of education focussed content on each Shakespeare title. We do this attracting an entirely new production team taken from current students, trained from scratch in less than one term.

A CHAMPION OF ACCESS AND INCLUSION

When I’m not on set or inside the OB truck, I am an active and passionate supporter of a number of industry facing bodies which further my particular passions around inclusion and industry working practices. I am an active member of Women in Film and Television, and I sit on the board of the Access and Inclusion Committee for DirectorsUK and am an Associate Member. I’m asked my considered opinion on a number of industry issues such as ensuring women have access to equal opportunity and promoting the case for inclusion for those who have caring responsibilities and are still looking to share their talent in the creative economy. In November 2019 I was selected as an inaugural member of Creative England’s ‘Industry Equals’ scheme, to foster the next generation of female entrepreneurs in the Screen Industries. In early 2020, I completed the Screen Central Leadership and Management for Screen Professionals course. I have also recently joined the West Midlands Combined Authority Creative Scale Up Programme.
